Hello everyone! Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. As a mental health provider with over a decade of experience I'm constantly dismayed to meet individuals and families suffering needlessly from life stressors, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and other forms of mental illness when so many effective treatment options are out there. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) have been rigorously tested and repeatedly found to bring about change within an individual that most never thought possible. My experience of engaging with a client in treatment and seeing their hopelessness fade in the face of concrete progress still energizes me today as much as it did when I first began my career.

 

I believe that people can recover from the unforseen circumstances life tends to throw at us.  For many, taking the first step is often the most difficult one. For someone who has never been to therapy, or for someone starting treatment with a new psychologist, the sense of unknown can be anxiety provoking, and in the worst cases keep people from seeking treatment that could otherwise change their lives.
